The rip off and the enslavement by the mafia begins with the people traffickers
The Red Cross has the art of giving the feeling that the person is saved and taken care of. It is even being viewed as a legitimate authority by certain the illegal migrants, given that the Red Cross cruises around in the international seas. It seems that the Red Cross plays a role in bringing the illegal migrants to Europe, which so far was viewed as a humanitarian aid.
Listen to the voice of a young Senegalese talking about his trip to cross the Mediterranean from Libya to Italy. A Red Cross ship spotted the boat that he was in, right when the trip was getting dangerous, of course
When I heard this, I immediately understood that the cash which the traffickers take from the illegal migrants are handed over to the Red Cross. Therefore, the Red Cross workers in the international waters might be able to identify the human traffickers as well
I received an additional detail from a young Guinean who specified that the illegal migrants, like the ones who were in the Moroccan forests in Nador are also used for transporting to Europe the cash money which leaks from Morocco through crimes like the burglaries.
All of it is handed to the people trafickers, who pass the money on to the Red Cross ships in the international waters, in the in the Mediterranean sea. |
He told me this, when I spoke about how the Moroccan tourism industry was being plundered by tourists who were filling their luggage with cash, while the Moroccans line up to get transported to Europe.
The migrants pay between 4 000 and 12 000 euro, just to get shipped by boat to European land. It is often a just a flea leap which costs fortunes, and thus this must be considered as slavery. The whole illegal supply chain has to be considered as a scandal in which the Red Cross apparently plays a key role in the transport of the money towards the North. However, instead of arriving with sufficient money, the money is being removed from the refugees, on the premise that to be entitled accommodation at facilities such as the asylum centers of the Red Cross, one has to arrive without papers and without money.
This is followed by a job at the Red Cross in Belgium against an hourly rate which they refused back home
When they finally arrive in Belgium, the rip off continues. While some believe that things will get better, and that they will be able to earn back the money, many are disappointed and they begin to realize that they were gradually being trapped in an intricate situation in which they are made to wait many months and even years before they receive papers that allow them to get a job, to open a bank account and to live like free human being, if the Commission for Refugees grants a positive answer to the asylum demand. If not, they continue to sink in the status of a slave.
In my letter to Their Majesties the King and Queen of Belgium, about the guantanamo conditions of the refugees, at the Red Cross in Belgium, I discussed the working condition, of the asylum seekers. It is a scandal that they are being paid below the poverty line.
Although the terms of employment are not written anywhere, I found out for myself by questioning the people. The terms of employment are as follows:
An unskilled worker (like the majority of asylum seekers) receives EUR 1.50 per hour and is not allowed to work more than 3 hours per day over a period of 7 days. The type of work for this category consists of manual work and all kinds of tasks such as cleaning the premises and the building, distributing hygiene products in the ASHA store, emptying the bins, taking the garbage bags to the container, keeping the laundry room open, baking toasts, washing dishes among others, but also cleaning the street, given that the municipal street cleaners are not allowed to come close to the building of the asylum center.
A technical worker such as a plumber, a tailor, a nail stylist, a hairdresser, a beautician, a for example, receives EUR 3,50 per hour, he or she may not work more than three hours per day and a maximum of three days per week.
The habitual hourly rate for an unskilled cleaner is between EUR 9.00 and EUR 11.00. A report by Eurostat on Wages and labour costs has indicated that in Belgium the average is EUR 39.6 per hour. The labor unions are claiming a minimum rate of EUR 14.00 per hour gross salary.
If there is one reason why the refugees have not been included in the register of the population, it is because statistically this group would otherwise influence dramatically the poverty rate of Belgium and make it soar. This is why they have been left out and artificially maintained in poverty during many years. |
That would be the reason why they get an orange identity card
The refugees are instructed to keep the contract and give it back after getting paid on every Tuesday. That is the payday. They get paid Euro 7,90 Euro of stipend + Euro 21,90 of salary for 7 days of work, in addition to one plastic coin per person for purchasing the cleaning and hygiene products onsite.
They said that the plastic coin is worth 5 euro. The chances are that it is part of the stipend which is withheld by La Croix-Rouge de Belgique for their own benefits, given the sales of goods that are supposed to be part of the humanitarian aid package for the refugees. The sales of those humanitarian aid goods must then be considered as an illegal operation in the refugee camp.
I insisted that they should keep a copy of their contract, be it an electronic version, to make the work experience appear on their resumés, and to give that to FOREM (the local employment office).
I was scandalized when I saw a pregnant woman from Guinea being given the task to clean a full bathing house and the toilets. She was not given a broom but a hand brush for doing floor. I spoke to her and I learned that she was nearly 6 months pregnant. Like in all the other cleaning cases, she was also not given bleach, vinegar or another antiseptic to disinfect the pot and the seat. This poses a threat to her health and the health of the baby. It probably is the reason why they denied antiseptics for her.

The rate per hour is being kept so low to encourage the asylum seekers to accept a job outside the center, such as working in the agriculture. The asylum seekers find a job by word of mouth inside the center and by example.
Someone knows someone who is earning more than 1500 Euro per month. The placement is done by an interim agency named “Werkers”.
The mafia has become smarter. They are not operating in total clandestine and with people without any status, like they used to do before, between 1980 and 2013, when there were changes in the traditional Belgian central government. The clandestineness was total,

and I remember that here was question of Courtrai in the dossier of Mohammed El Makreni who was found with a fake visa and arrested in 1990, an affair in which I got caught-up as well, erroneously for falsifying visas and passports concerning illegal migrants from Morocco, in 1990. There was no formality whatsoever, and I think that was making it easy for the mafia to sell falsified visas to people who were expected to pretend as if they had just arrived in Belgium, whereas they have been here for years working in the tomato greenhouses.
Pretty much the same continues to happen in the strawberry greenhouses. Hoogstraaten is an example where essentially Moroccans and Romanians, mostly women work in the strawberry culture. I actually discovered Hoogstraaten, in the context of Transleemans and thanks to a Moroccan worker who came to Belgium illegally and who ended up in the agriculture.

What is it worth to break a leg, an arm or even one's life for one euro ? (insert Moand)
This is why many refugees look for jobs with a much better pay elsewhere. It turns out that the asylum seekers are also high in demand in the flower or horticulture. Ghent Sint Pieters is such area where illegal migrants are employed ‘Afghan Declares Earning 1800 Euro Per Month In The Black In Ghent Sint Pieters’
